Clients value that we are relatable, responsive, and efficient. Yes, we quarterback global trademark portfolios. We also know that each client has unique needs. Practical and actionable, SpyHop understands what drives our clients’ businesses, and tailors our counsel accordingly.
Our approach has allowed us to successfully resolve thousands of disputes both for and against some the most valuable brands over the past 20 years. Fueling that success is our default setting: always seek the business win.
Skilled in Nuanced Negotiation
With our breadth of experience, we’ve seen deals from all sides. SpyHop identifies and centers our clients’ goals, reserving resources to chase down issues that are truly worthy of pursuit. Whether advising Pacific Northwest favorites in product collaborations, clearing copyright, music, and likeness rights for global giants, or negotiating sponsorship, co-branding, and license deals for the most-awarded craft distillery in North America, we’re a trusted, pragmatic partner by our client’s side.
Musicians, Artists, and Authors Welcomed
For SpyHop, creative lawyering includes representing creators of music, art, literature, and more. We serve as counselors on IP and music issues to such iconic public radio stations as KEXP in Seattle and KCRW in Southern California. Numerous authors, artists, and working musicians, such as The Black Tones, TOMI, Acid Tongue, and Smokey Brights, trust us to protect and license their work.
Music users also rely on our guidance to properly clear rights. SpyHop has negotiated music licenses for commercials and promotional videos, film & TV, video games, compilation albums, and political campaigns.
